Inspired Scriptures
The Bible is divinely inspired by God, declares His design and plan for mankind, and provides the all-sufficient and inerrant rule for faith and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Pet. 1:21)

One True God
There is only one true God, revealed in three equal and eternal Persons working in perfect unity as the Godhead — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — commonly known as the Trinity. God the Father — The Begetter and Creator who sent the Son into the world, recipient of Jesus’ prayers, bestowing power and authority unto Christ and rasied Him from the dead. (John 3:16, 11:41-42, 17:1; Acts 2:24; Phil. 1:2) God the Son — Begotten of the Father, present at creation, and sent by the Father for the purpose of redeeming humanity, Jesus returned to the Father and sends the Holy Spirit, granting authority and eternal presence to the Church. (Matt. 11:27, 28:19-20; Luke 1:35; John 1:1, 3:16, 5:17-30, 16:7; Heb. 12:2; Titus 2:13) God the Holy Spirit — Proceeding from the Father and Son, the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, reveals all truth, and empowers the believer for proper witness and ministry. (John 14:26, 16:7-15; 1 Cor. 2:10-11; Acts 1:8, 5:3-4)

Deity of Jesus
As God’s eternal son, Jesus was both human and divine, the Redeemer of humankind. The Bible declares His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit, virgin birth, sinless life, working of miracles, substitutionary work on the cross and bodily resurrection, exaltation to the right hand of God, and imminent return. (Matt. 1:23; Acts 1:9, 2:22; 1 Cor. 15:3; Heb. 7:26)

Humankind's Sinfulness
Created in God’s image and originally good, humankind willingly fell to sin ushering in evil and death (physical and spiritual) into the world. (Gen. 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Rom. 5:12-19)

Salvation Through Christ
Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross so every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation (trusting Christ through faith and repentance), thereby having Christ as one’s personal Savior. (Luke 24:47; Rom. 8:16; Eph. 2:24)

Church Ordinances
We practice two ordinances of the Church: Water Baptism — by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation. (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom. 6:4) Holy Communion (Lord’s Supper) — as a symoblic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation. (1 Cor. 11:26; 2 Pet. 1:4)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation available to all believers to empower for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in the New Testament times. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4, 1:8, 8:12-17, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9; 1 Cor. 12)

Tongues as Initial Evidence
The initial evidence of baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in a language unknown to the speaker (speaking in tongues), as experienced on the day of Pentecost and referenced throughout the Book of Acts and Epistles. (Acts 2:4; 1 Cor. 12:4-10; 1 Cor. 12:28)

Sanctification
The believer undergoes an immediate and continual act of separating from evil and being dedicated unto God alone. (Rom. 6:1-13, 12:1-2; 1 Thess. 5:23; Heb. 13:12)

The Church and Its Mission
The Church is the Body of Christ, consisting of people who throughout time have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. (Eph. 1:22-23, 2:22; Heb. 12:23) The Church has a mission to seek and lead to Jesus all who are lost in sin, instruct believers in the ways of God, worship the Lord, and demonstrate God’s goodness and compassion to the world. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 1:8; Eph. 4:11-16; Gal. 2:10)

Ministry Leadership
A divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership of equally anointed men and women exists to guide and serve the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, worship the Lord with other believers, build up (edify) the body of believers, and meet human needs with ministries of love and compassion. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23-24; Rom. 16:1-2; Eph. 4:11-16; Gal. 3:28; James 1:27)

Divine Healing
Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). (Isa 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)

Blessed Hope
When Jesus gathers (raptures) His Church at His imminent return, all believers who have died will rise from their graves and meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them to be with the Lord forever. (Rom. 8:23; 1 Cor. 15:51-52; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Titus 2:13)

Millennial Reign of Christ
Jesus will visibly return with His saints at His second coming, beginning His benevolent rule over the earth for 1,000 years, and bringing the salvation of national Israel and establishment of universal peace. (Ps. 72:3-8; Isa. 11:6-9; Ezek. 37:21-22; Micah 4:3-4; Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27-30; Rom. 11:26-27; Rev. 1:7, 19:11-14, 20:1-6

Final Judgment
A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a lake of fire, together with the devil and his servants. (Matt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8)

New Heavens and New Earth
Believers can look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for peoples of all time who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell there with Christ following His millennial reign on earth for all eternity. (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21-22)

God wonderfully creates each person as distinctly male and female. These two complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God, and therefore, rejection of one’s biological sex rejects the image of God within that individual. (Gen. 1:26-27) Marriage can only be defined as the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:18-25) God intends and commanded sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and woman who are married to each other. (1 Cor. 6:18, 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4) All forms of sexual immorality, including but not limited to adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and pornography is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10) God offers redemption and restoration to any and all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking Christ’s mercy and forgiveness. (Acts 3:19-21; Rom. 10:9-10; 1 Cor. 6:9-11) Every person is worthy and valuable to the Lord and must be offered truth, compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and/or harassing behavior directed toward any individual is to be repudiated and considered inconsistent with Scripture and the beliefs of Antioch Encounter Church.

Requirements for Leaders
In accordance with Scripture regarding persons in ministry leadership positions and key leaders are expected to abide by the qualifications listed in: 1 Timothy 3:1-13 2 Timothy 2:1-13 Titus 1:5-9 Additionally, due to convictions of Antioch Encounter Church, the following qualifications also apply: * Demonstrated Great Commission lifestyle (Matt. 28:19) * Baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 6:2-4) * Respectfully submits to leadership (Rom. 13:1-7; Heb. 13:17) * Is submitted to the Spirit, not recreational drugs, alcohol, or other forms of immorality (Rom. 13:12-14; 1 Cor. 6:19-20; Eph. 5:18) * Has a confirmed call of God for ministry (Exod. 18:21-22; Acts 6:5-6, 13:2-3; Eph. 4:11-13) * Ability to network with and encourage other ministers and leaders in the work of the Gospel (Phil. 2:1-2; 1 Pet. 2:17) * Must keep promises and commitments (Prov. 11:3; Matt. 5:37) * Must show wisdom and sound judgment in a position of power and authoirty, able to explain or justify actions and decisions when asked to give an account (Prov. 4:5-15; 1 Pet. 5:1-4) * Not selfish or self-centered (1 Tim. 3:1; Titus 1:8) * If married, your marriage relationship is strong and your spouse supports your ministry call. (Eph. 4:12; 1 Tim. 3:4-5)
Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
